Sacred Sunday: Mantra and Maha Mudra
1h 26m
This practice begins and ends with call and response mantra. The asana portion involves a lot of on your feet vinyasas to open up the back body in preparation for the maha mudra sub routine. Ending with Nadi Shodhana pranayama this practice is a slow and deep sequence to work with the balance of ida and pingala nadis. * If you are new to pranayama do not practice the holds at the top and bottom of the breath and make the inhales and exhales the same duration.* The mantra we chant is the “asatoma” mantra.
“Lead us from untruth to truth
from darkness to light
from the fleeting to the everlasting
Om Peace Peace Peace.”
